Website visits
This site serves static pages through Cloudflare Pages. Delivery and security involve technical request information, such as your IP address, requested page, browser or device information, request time and network information. Cloudflare may process traffic and security records to deliver and protect the site.
We do not add advertising, analytics scripts, tracking pixels, embedded media, contact forms or website accounts. Our pages do not set cookies or use browser storage. Hosting security features may have their own technical processing; this is not a promise that visiting any externally linked service is anonymous.
We use website information to deliver pages, investigate faults and protect against misuse. We do not sell personal information, share it for targeted advertising or use inquiries to train AI models.
Email inquiries
If you email us, we receive the address, name and other information you choose to provide, together with ordinary message metadata. We use this information to respond, keep track of the inquiry, manage business relationships and meet applicable legal obligations.
Use a short description, a synthetic example or a redacted screenshot. Please do not send passwords, tokens, customer Confluence pages, restricted titles, link reports or sensitive personal information. We do not need access to your Confluence site to answer a general product question. This prelaunch website does not collect app payments or accept customer content for scanning.
We rely on legitimate interests in responding to requests, operating and securing our business, contractual necessity when dealing directly with you under a contract, legal obligations where applicable, and consent where a use requires it. The applicable basis depends on the activity and the law that applies.
Service providers and locations
Cloudflare provides website delivery and security. Zoho Mail handles business email. They may process information through their infrastructure and authorized personnel. We operate from the United States, and our Zoho account uses its United States data center. That does not mean all hosting, support access or infrastructure processing stays in one country.
Access within our business is limited to people who need it for the request. Necessary professional advisers or authorities may receive relevant information where lawful. We do not make customer inquiry content available to AI tools. We use applicable safeguards when law requires them for an international transfer; contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
The Cloudflare privacy policy and Zoho privacy policy explain their respective practices. Their notices do not replace this notice. External links take you to services with their own policies.
Retention
We initiate deletion or minimization of ordinary inquiry correspondence in the active mailbox within 12 months after closure. For diagnostic attachments, we initiate deletion within 30 days after closure, or earlier when a valid instruction or legal obligation requires it. Please use synthetic or redacted material.
We may separately retain a minimal record needed for a contract, dispute, security investigation, accounting or legal obligation, for as long as justified by that purpose. We restrict access and review continued need. Hosting logs, deleted-item recovery, infrastructure backups and replicas follow the relevant provider lifecycle. Our mailbox actions do not guarantee immediate removal from every provider system.
Your choices and rights
You can browse without contacting us. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to processing, withdraw consent for a consent-based use, or appeal a request decision. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the relevant privacy authority.
Email privacy@localutilityworks.com. We verify identity and authority proportionately, normally using the relevant correspondence. Please do not send government identification unless we have explained a necessary secure process. We respond within applicable legal periods and explain a lawful refusal or extension. We do not unlawfully discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.
This website is intended for business audiences, not children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can address it.
Changes and contact
We identify the notice version and effective date above and retain earlier versions. Material changes will be explained here and communicated directly where required. A notice update does not itself authorize a new, incompatible use of personal information.

Our LinkedIn page
We operate the Local Utility Works LinkedIn page. If you comment, react, follow or message us there, we can see the profile information and interaction that LinkedIn makes available. We use it to respond and manage the page. Do not post customer data or sensitive information in public comments.
LinkedIn also processes platform activity under its Privacy Policy. It provides aggregated Page Insights to help us understand page engagement. Where LinkedIn’s Page Insights Joint Controller Addendum applies, we and LinkedIn have the responsibilities allocated there; LinkedIn handles the specified platform and Insights obligations. This does not replace our responsibilities for information we receive or use ourselves.
Contact privacy@localutilityworks.com about our handling, or use LinkedIn’s privacy controls for its platform processing. We route requests about covered Insights processing to LinkedIn as required. We have not added LinkedIn tracking or advertising scripts to this website.
